Perennial Grasses are a staple of our landscape designs, here at Viola Nursery and Greenhouse. Grasses have now become an accepted part of modern landscapes. The use of grasses in the landscape has been elevated from a backdrop planting to being a focal point. The list of perennial grasses is wide and long, but can first be broken into cool and warm season varieties. In those two groups, there are a number of different types of grasses.
