While doing some containers for a new customer this spring, we were talking about different plants to put in them. When I suggested petunias she said, “I don’t like petunias!” After telling me she didn’t want to be deadheading them all the time. She also hated how they got stringy looking by the middle of the summer. Discussing it a little longer I realized she had never tried, Supertunias.
As you can see by the pictures, Supertunias have never failed to perform all season long. With over 29 colors and sizes to choose from, there is a place for Supertunias in any combination. Because they are such a vigorous grower and prolific bloomer, feeding and watering are the simple keys to growing great plants. Probably the best selling point for Supertunia is, not having to deadhead. With its consistant growth habit, Supertunias literally grow right over the top of old blooms with new foliage and blooms.
I have used Supertunias in a one color basket or pot, I have used them with many other flower combinations, I have used them in ground in beds. They have never failed me yet, in any location. If you’ve never tried them before, you owe it to yourself to see how easy it is to grow these beautiful showy plants.
